    (IANS)

Nine Algerian soldiers were killed by suspected Islamic terrorists in two separate attacks, Algerian media reported Tuesday.

Six soldiers died when they were ambushed late Sunday near Medea, some 90 km southwest of the capital Algiers, by terrorists suspected to be members of Al Qaeda, the Arab-language daily El Khabar reported.
The attackers were able to make off with their victims' uniforms and weapons.
El Khabar also reported that three more soldiers were killed Monday when attacked near the city of Bouira, some 120 km east of Algiers.
